The Boston Collaborative for Food and Fitness envisions a city where community demand for affordable, locally grown and healthy foods is met by a state and region where farming is a strong and viable activity, so that farmers are able to provide affordable, locally grown, and healthy foods to all residents in all neighborhoods of Boston.  Our mission is to transform Boston so that every resident can access and afford healthy, locally-grown food and enjoy public spaces and opportunities for active living.

The Boston Natural Areas Network (BNAN), organized in 1977, works to preserve, expand and improve urban open space through community organizing, acquisition, ownership, programming, development and management of special kinds of urban land – community gardens, urban wilds, and greenways.

City Sprouts is a school and community program based in Cambridge, MA that integrates academic, health and environmental education in the public schools and in the neighborhood. Working closely with school administrators, teachers and families, City Sprouts creates school gardens and provides essential support to schools as they extend existing curricula to these outdoor classrooms.

Groundwork Somerville is a nonprofit environmental organization based in Somerville, MA that promotes sustainable community development and revitalization.  By creating opportunities for healthy education, green jobs, and sustainable community, Groundwork Somerville empowers people to lead healthier, happier, and more prosperous lives.

Northeast Organic Farming Association/Mass is a community including farmers, gardeners, landscapers and consumers working to educate members and the general public about the benefits of local organic systems based on complete cycles, natural materials, and minimal waste for the health of individual beings, communities and the living planet.

The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy is a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to raising broad-based support to ensure standards of excellence in the design, sustainability and use of the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway. To secure the Greenway’s future as one of America’s foremost urban parks, the Conservancy will advocate for standards of consistency and excellence in design; manage its operations, working collaboratively to create, finance, promote and coordinate public programs and events; and raise adequate and stable funding to support the long-term sustainability of its public uses.

YouthBuild Boston is a nonprofit organization based in Roxbury, Massachusetts that serves young adults of Boston. Established in 1990, Youth Build Boston provides opportunities for students to build career and life skills via hands-on, innovative programs such as construction training and sustainable landscape design.
