Just like a single apple tree, we cannot bear fruit alone, so we sincerely thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Boston Tree Party! As the Party grows, and the seasons change, our current volunteer needs vary significantly.

Current Volunteer Needs:

We currently do not have any upcoming volunteer events. To assist with tree plantings and park clean-ups, please check the event calendar for Boston Natural Areas Network, one of our project partners.

Aside from our most current and pressing volunteer needs listed above, we can use assistance year-round with various aspects of the project. Depending on how much time and energy you can dedicate to the Boston Tree Party, we have established these two levels of volunteer engagement:

Virtual Volunteers
(low time-commitment)
Perfect for busy students, or even those who reside outside of the Greater Boston area. Virtual volunteers are excellent e-communicators, working primarily over email to assist our staff with various research projects.

Field Volunteers (low to moderate time-commitment)
For those in the Boston area who can assist with posting fliers, attending special events, or other one-time commitments.
